Dr. Vikash R. Keshri

Executive Director

MBBS, MD, PhD

Dr. Vikash R. Keshri holds a PhD in Public Health from UNSW, Sydney, Australia, and MBBS and MD in Community Medicine from MGIMS, Wardha, India. He is also a Keystone HPSR Fellow and a Health Policy Fellow from ITM, Antwerp, Belgium, and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health.

Dr. Keshri is a seasoned public health specialist and a dedicated health policy and systems researcher. With over a decade of experience in public health, he has exhibited expertise across a broad spectrum of areas, including health policy, health systems enhancement, human resources for health, maternal health, and burn injury.

Before joining SHRC, Dr. Keshri held positions in prominent international and national organizations, such as the George Institute for Global Health India, the University of New South Wales, the Centre for Health Policy in Bihar, CARE, FHI 360, Dr. Sushila Nayar School of Public Health at MGIMS, Wardha, and more. His contributions have been instrumental in supporting health systems strengthening in several large Indian states.

Dr. Keshri's research endeavours have yielded impactful results, often translating into policy actions. His research interests span a wide array of topics, including health policy and systems research, human resources for health, maternal health, and burn injury. His scholarly work has found publication in esteemed journals and other significant platforms. Additionally, he has actively engaged in health policy discussions through various media outlets. Dr. Keshri has presented at numerous global and national conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Beyond academics, his true passion lies in working closely with communities in India and extending support to those at the last mile.

Prabodh Nanda

Prabodh Nanda pursued his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from National Institute of Social Work and Social Sciences (NISWASS), Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He bears 19 years of experience in the field of academic, community development and since the last 12 years he has been involved in the areas of public health particularly the community processes activities. He is a certified National Trainer under National Health Mission for Community Processes activities. He has several research publications around the immense work of Mitanin-Community Health Workers to his credit. He is a good mentor and an excellent team leader.

Narayan Tripathi

Narayan has more than a decade experience in strengthening Indian public health systems, mostly focused in Chhattisgarh and Bihar. Currently take an operational lead on Health & Wellness Centers (HWC) in the state. Along with this involved in strengthening availability of essential drugs and diagnostics, capacity building, strategic inputs in Human Resources for Health, health financing and conducting studies to strengthen health systems.He is a pharma graduate and completed his master’s in health management from IIHMR, New Delhi. “Strongly believe to build systems where everyone should attain the equitable and quality health care without any hardship and discrimination.”

Kavita Patel, Senior Program Coordinator, Health Systems Strengthening, Integrated Health Services Kavita is leading the Health Systems Strengthening unit of SHRC. She has more than 11 years of experience in supporting public health. Policy, planning and implementation in community and facility settings. She has work experience in Quality, Reproductive Health and Health Systems Strengthening in organizations like National Health Mission, UNICEF, Nutrition International.She is a physiotherapy graduate and has completed her Masters in Public Health from JSS University, Mysore Karnataka.

Komal is leading the team of Administration, Finance and Accounts at SHRC. He is working at SHRC since 2003. He has excellent time management skill and performs proficiently to keep all functions within the organization running smoothly. He is patient, empathetic and dedicated to help colleagues and find the best solution to any administrative problem.

Punita Kumar

Climate Change & Human Health

Punita is leading the technical cell for the Chhattisgarh National Program of Climate Change and Human Health at SHRC. She has more than a decade’s experience in community health, advocacy, social–environmental justice.

A trained Social Worker specializing in ‘Psychiatric Social Work’ from Dr. B R Ambedkar University Agra, with an additional post-graduate degree in ‘Public Health’ from the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
