This website has been
designed keeping in mind the context and content of the various
public health initiative programmes going on in Chhattisgarh,
especially the Mitanin programme, the ongoing health sector reform
initiatives, the district health plan processes, the panchayat
health planning and special initiatives for enhancing community
participation at the grass root level. These initiatives are in
the context of the National Rural health Mission with its vision
of creating similar state health resource centres all over the
country for health facility deliverance and accessibility in terms
of equity and quality. And hence, this website has been
conceptualised with the hope and enthusiasm of sharing our varied
experiences and examples with one and all who have similar ideals,
mission and vision with enthusiastic approach to work for the
health of the community and at large for the interest of the
nation. We hope that this website will prove to be a source of
guidance and inspiration for those Public Health Practitioners who
are looking forward for working in these areas where the
challenges are the greatest.
We also acknowledge the lapses and the
shortcomings in the design and function of the website and for
this we are in anticipation of creative and wholesome suggestions
and feed backs from your end. Let us together improve the Public
